Deception

Here is the problem that I have with the current economic situation. It's not that the politicians, the economists, or even the media for that matter didn't see the downward spiral coming for years that bugs me. It's that America has been lied to and now every one of us will be reaping what the big government has sown. I have been watching multiple media outlets for the past couple of months and just gathering my thoughts so that I can make better judgments and have stronger arguments to those who seem to accept what is going on.

Barack Obama has pulled the blanket over America's eyes to shield us from the bad guys. His superman cape is going with the wind as he flies over the country and makes us all feel protected by his bright white smile and charismatic personality. But, he has lied to us and has possibly put us into the worst economic trifle EVER. This cannot be blamed on Bush Sr or Jr, Clinton, Reagan, Nixon, Carter, FDR, Lincoln, Jefferson or any other president for that matter because the collapse of the American way of life is coming, it is inevitable. The only problem is that instead of fighting fire with water or an extinguisher, we use gas, propane, and/or butane to douse the flames.

Instead of pulling out of the economic collapse the government is trying to spend our way out, meaning that we are pouring money by the Trillions into senseless programs such as renewable resources, cleaner energy, and "greener" cities. That is all fine and dandy (I am not against the green movement, per say) but our economy can not keep spending money that we don't have in order to become greener. A simple analogy that I will use is this: If my credit card had me $10,000 in debt my last thought would be to spend more on that card for amenities that I do not need. Like lets say a new t.v. to make my entertainment system complete or buy a new Mac book in order to curb my addictions to electronics. What do we do we are in debt? We pay it off, we don't keep spending, and especially do not continue to spend more money than we can afford.

I thought that the big campaign slogan that Obama used was: "No more Bush spending," or "No more Republican big spending proposals." But, we just seem to accept the fact that Obama does it, so obviously he can be trusted. Why can he be trusted though? What has he possibly done in his term thus far that should allow him my trust? Spending money, AIG scandal, laughing at the economic downturn, ESPN brackets, Jay Leno, buying toxic assets, and making jokes about retarded people are a few that I can think of off of the top of my head. I'm not saying that I am not optimistic about the economy, because I love America, and having America fail is the last thing that I would like to see happen. But, I am saying that people need to question big government. The government was set-up in order to keep the other state governments in line and be an overseer, not control the states and control the every movement of it's people.

I will write more, I just need to jot down my ideas and be more structured.
